Il progetto Double Dash prende vita ufficialmente nel Ottobre del 2003 quando, dopo un'infanzia passata ad ascoltare le registrazioni provenienti dalle migliori discoteche (Cocoricò, Baia Degli Angeli e Ecu prime fra tutte) che gli venivano fornite da amici dei genitori, Lorenzo e Gabriele decidono di apprendere, in maniera del tutto autodidatta, le nozioni basilari per il mixaggio avvalendosi di software appositi, trasformando cosi l'innata passione per la musica elettronica in un vero e proprio lavoro acquistando il primo mixer e una coppia di piatti agli inizi del 2004. Successivamente, nel Maggio dello stesso anno, partecipano al loro primo dj contest indetto dal comune di Perugia presso il locale Domus, classificandosi al secondo posto, e successivamente ottengono la residenza nel priveè della discoteca Crocodile di Monte San Savino, assieme ai djs Andrea B e Miky Marra (che insegnano loro svariati trucchetti del mestiere) ottenendo numerose critiche positive dagli addetti ai lavori, che notano subito in loro ottime potenzialità. Il tempo passa effettuando dj-sets in svariati locali della Valtiberina riscuotendo un buon successo (nonostante la forte innovatività proposta, rispetto a quella offerta dalla zona), cercando sempre di proporre dj-sets affini con il filone deep-progressive americano, in puro stile Deep Dish, andando in contro tendenza all’affermarsi del genere electro techouse di stampo commerciale proposto dalla maggior parte delle discoteche locali. Da qui la svolta e la decisione di non fermarsi alla piccola discoteca sotto casa: si fa sempre più forte la necessità di uscire fuori dagli schemi e d’intraprendere quel lungo cammino per entrare tra quelli che la musica la fanno e non la subiscono. Con il bisogno di qualcosa di nuovo, di mai sentito prima, di fresco, ma senza rinnegare lo stile di partenza e senza scendere nel commerciale, scoprono la minimal: grazie al neo filone tedesco ha così inizio un processo di metamorfosi musicale che li porta dalla progressive ipnotica di fine anni ‘90, fino alle attuali sonorità minimali, il tutto sempre caratterizzato da marcate atmosfere deep.
I loro dj-sets sono frutto della fantasia e delle emozioni che la gente trasmette: spaziano dalla house alla techno, dalle marcette ipnotiche fino ad armonie psichedeliche, caratterizzando il tutto con sonorità ricercate e piacevoli anche al semplice ascolto, prendendo spunto da dj/producers del calibro di Marco Carola, Luca Bacchetti, Gabriel Ananda, Booka Shade, Damian Schwartz, Ricardo Villalobos, Pikaya and many more…

The Double Dash project born officially in October 2003 when, after having passed their childhood listening to the unofficial recordings coming from the best clubs in Italy (Cocoricò, Baia Degli Angeli and Ecu firsts of all) that some friends of their parents gave them, Lorenzo and Gabriele settled to learn, in a totally autodidact way, the mixing fundamental elements via computer using proper softwares, turning their inbred passion for electronic music into a real job, buying their first mixer and turntables on the firsts months of 2004. Afterwards, during the May of same year, they took part to their firsts Dj-contest at Domus Club, in Perugia, placing 2nds, and two months later they took the residency into Crocodile's House Room, together with Andrea B and Miky Marra djs (that taught them a lot of tricks about this profession), obtaining many positive criticisms by club owner that saw good potentialities in them.
Time passed by and during these years they did a lot of parties and Dj-sets in many Tiberin Valley's clubs, reaching many good results (despite the strong innovative way proposed, in comparison with that offered by the local clubs), trying always to promote Dj-sets in relations with the American deep-progressive trend, in a pure Deep Dish's style, going themselves own way against the even more commercial techouse's establishing promoted by the largest part of clubs in their zone. So, came the turning point and the decision of didn't stop in front of the "small clubs under home": it made even more stronger the necessity to fall out of the lines and undertaking that hard and long path to enter between the people that make music, instead remaining between that kind of people that undergo it. Following their need of something new, fresh, and didn't listen yet, without disowning their starting style and trying to don't fall into commercial sounds, they found out the minimal: thanks to the new German trend it begins a musical metamorphosis process that led them from the latest '90s hypnotic progressive rhythm, to the actual minimal sonorousness, characterizing their Dj-sets with deep marked atmospheres.
Their Dj-sets are the outcome of the fantasy and the feelings that people convey them: they range from house to techno, from the hypnotic marches to the psychedelic harmonies, marking everything with tastefully sonorousness pleasant to the simply listening as well, taking inspiration by Djs/Producers of the caliber such as Marco Carola, Luca Bacchetti, Touane, Gabriel Ananda, Booka Shade, Damian Schwartz, Ricardo Villalobos, Pikaya and many more...
